2026 UAFS Health Career Fair

Thursday, February 12, 2026

Fort Smith Regional Dialysis Center proudly participated in the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (UAFS) Health Career Fair held on February 11, 2026. The event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with aspiring healthcare professionals and share insight into the rewarding field of dialysis care.

Representing Fort Smith Regional Dialysis Center were Sherryl Spearman, RN, Director of Clinical Operations for the Poteau and Van Buren locations, and Shelly Smith, RN, Assistant Director of Clinical Operations for the Van Buren location. Both leaders brought extensive clinical knowledge and hands-on experience to the event, engaging with UAFS medical students interested in expanding their understanding of renal care.

During the career fair, Sherryl and Shelly shared detailed information about the dialysis process, including how treatments support patients with kidney failure, the critical role of nurses and clinical teams, and the compassionate care required to help patients maintain their quality of life. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about daily operations, patient relationships, and career pathways within dialysis services.

Fort Smith Regional Dialysis Center values community engagement and is committed to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. Events like the UAFS Health Career Fair allow our team to inspire future nurses and clinicians while highlighting the vital role dialysis centers play in patient-centered healthcare across our region.
